In-Home Health Care Benefits
The federal government covers the cost of home health care for affected DOE workers, including licensed nurses, registered home health aides, and trained healthcare workers. The EEOICPA provides for home health care:
- Regular examinations conducted by licensed nurses, and monitoring of vital signs
- Professional assessment of a patient’s health status
- Assessing the effectiveness and side-effects of prescription medication
- (PT) Physical therapy services
- Help with ADL, daily tasks, such as bathing, using the bathroom, walking, and meal prep
